Kirk (FatFatBoy) came all the way out from Mo.on his new E Glide. to meet up with Monk , M143 and Mrs M143, Phat01 and Mrs Phat01 , myself, and Kawtipping.

we hooked up at T100 Toymakers in Norhwest Ct and rode out to Barington Brewery in Ma. for lunch.
i headed back down route 7 afterwards, but Monk led the rest of the crew up Mt Greylock .
a good ol' tyme.

Starting with this months (#35 Feb09) issue of theHorse Back Street Choppers,
the magazine features updates on the ACO(Amateur Chop Off)that will be held as part of the 10th aniversary SmokeOut festivities. We plan to be at the Rockingham Dragway, Rockingham, NC with our bike the 15th and 16th of May.

I am posting up the monthy update pix of my ACO progress as it appears in the magazine. I would suggest to all, to rustle up the magazine and check out the other ACO entrants as well.

I was a late entrant, and just made the deadline. so here is the pic of some of the parts i scrapped together for that shot. Basicly its a stock mid 60's BSA A65 Lightning frame modified by Dave(Tigman)Huntress and a stock 1965 A65 BSA Rocket thunderbolt motor I pirated from a bike i had bought a few years ago off Britbike.com.

i am recovering ok from recent surgery.
thanks to all the wellwishers for the support.

not much going on around the garage lately, due to my medical issues.

the additional shop area was roofed and enclosed before i went under the knife.
i also got the BSA build out there set up to work on. we are committed to
having the BSA in the Horse Magazine Amateur Chop Off at the 10th anniversary Smoke Out in Rockingham, NC this May.

Steve Grant of Bomeseen, VT. We lost a great friend of the Garage this past March. Steve was resourceful mechanic and garage builder. A true biker in the old sense, you always knew he had your back. Steve was a former patch holder and a member of several internet bike building communitys, including The_Chop_Shop@Yahooo. He was well known for his Triumphs that ran wide glide front ends. He is survived by 3 kids and a granchild, of which he was extremely proud. To say he will be missed is a severe understatement, but we say it nonetheless. You will be missed Steve! We hope you are riding the roads of biker heaven.

Our new arrival!! We did a trip up to Lake George this past weekend and brought back this 1971 Triumph T-100 and the pumpkin from the Albany area. And ya, the real motor we gots as well. We mocked up our own version of the Headless Horseman for the harvest season.
